The short version: ADDR performs addition on your device. Your numbers, your additions, your streaks, and your achievements stay on your device. We don't run servers that collect them, and we don't sell anything about you.
1. Who we are
ADDR ("ADDR," "we," "us," or "our") provides the ADDR mobile application for iPhone and Apple Watch, related widgets, and this website at addrcalc.netlify.app. This policy explains what information we handle and how.
2. Information we collect
ADDR is designed to work without accounts and without sending your personal data to us. Specifically:
- Your additions and app data. The numbers you add, your history, streaks, achievements, daily challenge results, dashboard metrics, and community posts are stored locally on your device using your operating system's standard storage. This data does not leave your device unless you choose to share it (for example, by using the iOS Share Sheet to send an addition report or certificate to someone).
- Widgets, Live Activities, Apple Watch & complications. To show your stats on the Home Screen, Lock Screen, Dynamic Island, and Apple Watch, the app stores a small summary (such as your streak and readiness score) in a shared on-device App Group container. This stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.
- Siri, Shortcuts & Spotlight. If you add numbers via Siri or the Shortcuts app, the calculation runs on your device. Recent additions may be indexed in Spotlight so you can search them; this index is maintained on your device by the operating system.
- Notifications. The app schedules local notifications on your device (such as streak reminders and playful, simulated community reactions). These are generated on-device; there is no push server and we do not see them.
- Information you choose to share. If you contact us for support, we receive whatever you put in your message (such as your email address and the contents of your request).
- Device and diagnostic data. If you download ADDR from the App Store, Apple may provide us with aggregate, anonymized analytics (such as crash counts and the number of downloads) through App Store Connect. This is governed by Apple's privacy practices.
We do not collect your contacts, precise location, health data, financial information, or browsing activity. The community feed and leaderboards are simulated entirely on your device — there is no user-to-user networking.
3. How we use information
Because most of your data never reaches us, our uses are limited to:
- Operating the app's features on your device.
- Responding to your support requests.
- Understanding overall app stability and adoption through aggregate App Store metrics.
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.
4. Data storage and security
Your app data is stored locally on your device and is protected by your device's built-in security (such as your passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID). If you delete the app, the locally stored data is removed by the operating system in the normal course.
5. Third-party services
The ADDR app does not embed third-party advertising or tracking SDKs. This website uses Google Fonts to render typography; when your browser loads the site, font files are requested from Google's servers, which may involve your IP address being processed by Google under their own privacy policy. The website is hosted on Netlify, which may collect standard server logs for security and reliability.
6. Children's privacy
ADDR is suitable for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the app operates locally and does not require an account, no personal information is gathered from any user, including children.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information. Because ADDR stores your data on your own device, you are already in control: you can view it in the app, and you can delete all of it at any time by deleting the app. For anything you have sent us directly (such as a support email), contact us using the details below.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
